When you give, it makes a difference! It helps people in need… and one of those people is you! We all need help shaking loose of the consumeristic, me-first culture that gets its claws into us at a very young age. Giving to others helps move us into a different frame of mind, one that sees the abundance of God’s generosity toward us and shares it with others.

Online Giving

If you would like to give to support the work being done through Living Hope Community Church, you can click here to make a gift directly from your checking/savings account or with a credit/debit card. You can make a one-time gift or set it to repeat on a schedule of your choosing. And of course, it’s entirely secure. (Current online givers, see note below.)

You can give to the General Fund, which is just like dropping your offering in the box on Sunday morning. Or you can designate your gift for something specific:

  • Building Fund – for building-specific expenses
  • Global Mission Fund – for local and global Church of the Nazarene missions work
  • Good Neighbor Fund – for helping meet financial needs in our community through our partnership with First Contact
  • Acts 4 Fund – for meeting financial needs in our own church family

Thanks-Christmas Offering 2018

As we move through the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons, we’re coming together to give something extra to two agencies doing amazing work in our community:

Housing Opportunities

Housing Opportunities is the primary source for housing hope and help in Porter County, including emergency shelter for men, women, and families. (The women who used to sleep on our church floor now share apartments at HO’s main building by Walgreens on Calumet!) It costs about $1,000/month to provide shelter and services to each family. We’d love for you to give directly to HO online or by dropping a check in the box on Sunday. If you give online, please mention Living Hope in the “Additional Information” section!

First Contact

First Contact is a Christian resource and referral ministry with offices throughout Porter County. This time of year, they’re especially focused on helping people with rent and utility payments, keeping them warm and housed. We accept donations for them year-round through our Good Neighbor offering, but we give them special focus every December with their “Warm a Home” tree in our foyer. You can drop a check in the box on Sunday made out to First Contact, or you can give online to our Good Neighbor fund.

The Building Fund

Knowing that some of you would like to give to help us finish paying for the new roof and facade, we wanted to put that opportunity in front of you, too. Just designate your gift for the Building Fund when you give!

Note to Current Online Givers

We’re transitioning to a new online giving platform with lower fees and more services (like giving by text!) as we end 2018. We think you’ll like it better! If you’re looking for our old system, perhaps to cancel an automatically recurring gift, you can log in here: Realm online giving (pre-2019). Thank you for giving!

Come As You Are

If there’s one place where you can take off the mask, let down your guard, and just be yourself, it’s church: a community of grace, where nobody is perfect and everybody depends on the help of God and each other to live better each day than the day before.

If that sounds good to you, we invite you to come check it out.
